Summary: Since 2022, NACI has strongly recommended a primary series of mRNA COVID-19 vaccination for everyone 5 years of age and older, with a discretionary recommendation for children 6 months to under 5 years of age. With the recent changes to the vaccine schedules for the XBB.1.5- containing COVID-19 vaccines as outlined in the product monographs, NACI is updating its guidance on the use of COVID-19 vaccines for individuals who have not been previously vaccinated.
