Published: 2013
"This document reports results from field demonstrations of some new vaccine cold boxes that could soon be available as World Health Organization (WHO)-prequalified devices for vaccine storage and/or transport. They are innovative both in their use of new materials and in the way they enable us to think about storing and transporting vaccines in different ways than is currently the norm. They also focus on freeze prevention, as freezing temperatures in vaccine cold boxes and carriers have been widely documented. This information is intended for national Expanded Programme on Immunization managers and logisticians who are interested in learning about new technologies in the pipeline for use in countries in the near future". - Innovative Passive Cooling Options for Vaccines
